Your Screen with ActiveScreenLock
This small article explains why you need
to lock your screen and how easy it is.
Why
do you need to lock your screen?
People need to protect their office computers
from unauthorized access. What is the best way to do it? Of
course, you can set a password for BIOS, turn your computer
off and leave the work place. But this is not easily done,
since most people don’t even know what BIOS is. Besides, sometimes
we have to leave PC turned on (especially if they are in the
network). How then can we protect a running computer from
unauthorized access? The solution is easy – simply lock your
screen with a password only you will know. However, there
are no default tools in Windows to lock your screen. No problem,
download ActiveScreenLock.
How
to lock your screen?
You can easily lock your screen with ActiveScreenLock.
First, download it here:

Then install and launch it. Do not be afraid, that it
will lock your screen right away. It will not do that. The
program first asks you for a password. Enter and confirm it.
Now you can customize this program to your needs. For example,
you can set wallpaper, change color of clock, change log options
and select the elements that should be hidden from the screen.
When you are finished, press the "Lock" button to
lock your screen. Now you can leave your workplace without
worrying that somebody will screw something up. Do not worry
about your PC – its screen is securely locked with ActiveScreenLock.
If someone tries to enter a password to unlock ActiveScreenLock,
his (or her) attempts will be logged and wrong passwords will
be saved. ActiveScreenLock cannot be closed, because key combinations
Alt+F4, Ctrl+Alt+Del, Alt+Tab, and WinKey are blocked. When
you return to your desk, simply enter your password to unlock
your screen and continue working with your PC. If you would
like to lock your screen again, launch ActiveScreenLock. Or
you can lock your screen by double clicking ActiveScreenLock
icon in system tray (near the system clock).
